Ever wondered
by NoIdeaWhatToBelieve ini was very hooked on the rc videos, really interesting to watch.
i started questioning stuff a couple of months ago.. however there is still a scenario that makes me wonder.
considering the israelites as god's chosen people and the kings as anointed, the bible shows many bad decisions the people made, including the rulers that were anointed.

The following article about the Catholic Church is equally applicable to the Watchtower Society.
""Tell me," he asked, "how can I have confidence in anything? How can I believe in the Bible, in God, or have faith? Just ten years ago we Catholics had the absolute truth, we put all our faith in this. Now the pope and our priests are telling us this is not the way to believe any more, but we are to believe 'new things.' How do I know the 'new things' will be the truth in five years?"" Pedophiles in Good Standing
by UnDisfellowshipped inhere is a very good quote you can use against the society from a watchtower publication that everyone knows: .
you can live forever in paradise on earth book, pages 187-188: .
"if church members who gamble, get drunk or do other wrongs are permitted to remain in good standing within their church, what does this show?

The comments about a molester supposedly having to only attend study groups at the Kingdom Hall, instead of someone's home, made me think..
Could this have had something to do with everybody being moved to a Congregation Book study, instead of meeting in homes?
Limitation of possible future lawsuits?...
"ozzie post 11 years ago
These people are assigned by the body of elders to attend Book Study centers in private homes, oftentimes homes where there are children, and the parents are totally unaware of the reasons for Brother? or Sister? So-and-So's being disciplined in the first place.
In Australia, BOE have been instructed to assign such persons to Book Study groups that meet at Kingdom Halls only."

Could the Independent Inquiry in England and Wales expose jw.org's child abuse failures? And how can we help?
by defender of truth inwith all the talk about the org's policies and failures regarding child sexual abuse being publically exposed in australia, i thought that it may be a good time to highlight this... i apologise if this has already been discussed, but on the 9th of july the independent inquiry into child sexual abuse in england and wales was opened.
here is some information regarding it's aims.. "about the inquiry.
the inquiry offers an unprecedented opportunity to examine the extent to which institutions and organisations in england and wales have taken seriously their responsibility to protect children.. the inquiry will investigate a wide range of institutions including:.

"The Truth Project
The Truth Project will allow victims and survivors of child sexual abuse to share their experiences with the Inquiry.
*Those who wish to take part will attend a private session* at one of our offices in England or Wales to share their experience with a member of the Inquiry. *Their accounts will not be tested, challenged or contradicted. The information supplied will be anonymised*, and will be considered by the Chair and Panel members when reaching their conclusions and making recommendations for the future.
As part of the Truth Project, *victims and survivors will be given an opportunity to write a message to be published* together with the Inquiry’s annual reports.
More information about the Truth Project is in our guide for those who wish to share their experience. The first Truth Project hearings are expected to start in October 2015.
Visit our share your experience page to find out more, or to take part. "

Thank you for posting this..
A Governing Body member is in contempt ofcourt?
So much for obeying the superior authorities..
"What is a subpoena?
A subpoena means an order requiring a person (called the addressee) to attend at court to give evidence, or to produce a document or thing to the Court, or do both things.
Disobeying a subpoena -
If the court wants a particular person to attend court to give evidence, but knows that the person does not want to do so, it can subpoena that person.
A subpoena is an order to attend court and give evidence, and it must be obeyed. If the person fails to attend court as ordered, even though the court has met any necessary expenses, the person will be in contempt of court.
Penalties
Anyone committing contempt may be fined or jailed for a fixed period of time. In some cases, that person may be jailed for as long as the judge wishes, generally until they have "purged their contempt". This usually means, in practice, until they have complied with the court order or apologised sincerely to the court and have agreed in future to abide by the court's orders. "
www.thenewsmanual.net/Resources/medialaw_in_australia_03.html
"Rules 24.17 and 24.18 of the Federal Court Rules 2011 explain how the addressee shall comply with a subpoena.
Failure to comply with a subpoena without lawful excuse is a contempt of court and the addressee may be dealt with accordingly. The Court may order the issuing party to pay the amount of any reasonable loss or expense of a person complying with a subpoena. The Court will usually fix the amount to be paid, which is in addition to any conduct money."

"The Terms of Reference make clear that the Inquiry will liaise with its counterparts elsewhere in the United Kingdom.
To that end my officials have had initial discussions with the Scottish Government, who are in the process of setting up their own inquiry, the Hart Inquiry in Northern Ireland and the Independent Jersey Care Inquiry and have agreed with them and with the Child Sexual Abuse Inquiry that joint protocols will be set up with each inquiry to ensure that information can be shared and lines of investigation can be followed across geographical boundaries."
"I am confident that the new statutory Inquiry, under the chairmanship of Justice Goddard, will challenge individuals and institutions without fear or favour and get to the truth."
Keep an eye on this Inquiry, guys.
It's going to expose the Watchtower like never before in the UK, if we act together..

Bear in mind what's happening in Australia.
Just want to repeat part of my above post:
"In public hearings a selected 25 cases in which particular patterns of institutional failings have been detected will be investigated in open sessions. "
"Goddard said on Thursday her statutory inquiry had the necessary powers and she was prepared to use them to force individuals and institutions to give evidence."
"The Inquiry will select case studies from a range of institutions that appear to illustrate a pattern of institutional failings. Each hearing will last for around six weeks.
A hearing may relate to a particular individual who appears to have been enabled to sexually abuse children in institutional settings.
##Or it may relate to an institution that appears to have demonstrated repeated failings over a number of years.## "
"This could be a once-in-a-lifetime chance here in the UK to help publically call the Watchtower to the stand, to make them account for their failure to protect children..
Will we let it pass, or will we act?..(or at least encourage and inform those who may be able to act?) "

Did you hear that!? His Honour is insisting that Jackson attend the Royal Commission
by umbertoecho ini actually started clapping at that point, as his honour explained to the wt type creep sycophantic slithery lawyer that........" i understand that we all have issues to face in life and .....that is a part of life...........however it has become obvious that this man ....is in such a position to assist with this investigation.....".
it boils down to the fact that stewart outright accused the latest witness of misleading the royal commission and this lead to some document searches which led his honour to conclude that they had been protecting mr jackson.
this was a warm and fluffy moment folks.................brilliant stuff!!!!!
